The Ottoman Empire was the empire in charge of Turkey in the Armenian Genocide. The Ottoman Empire was the main cause of the Armenian Genocide. Talat Pasha was one of the leaders of the Committee of Union and.Progress during the genocide that said, "Kill every Armenian woman, child, and man without concern for anything" . Armenia had come to the Ottoman Rule in the 15th century. The Ottoman Empire was then coming to an end in 1923.

Armenians

Armenians were all the persons that got killed in the Armenian Genocide. There were about 1.5 million Armenians killed and about 1.75 million Armenians deported. The population in 1914 before the genocide was 2.1 million and in the year 1922 there had only been 390,000 Armenians. Many died of starvation or being tired without water.
